The Class M-3 Model B-9 General Utility Non-Theorizing Environmental Control Robot, known simply as the Robot, is a fictional character from the 1960s television series ‘Lost in Space’. Other aliases for the Robot include: B-9, M-3 and YM-3. The Robot is a popular and much-loved icon in the world of robots, likely because it possessed very endearing, human-like qualities. B-9 laughed, made jokes, felt sad and even played musical instruments. His main role was to protect the youngest member of the crew with catchphrases such as: “It does not compute.” and “Danger, danger, Will Robinson!”. B-9 is easily recognised by its bubble shaped sensor unit, cylindrical body and extending clawed arms.
